His eggshell porcelain works are the only eggshell pieces from Jingdezhen to have been sold at Christie's. He continues to study and improve his craft, challenging the limits of the skill again and again. He learned from Gao Meisheng, the master of eggshell porcelain, inheriting the craft alone for 40 years. He is Lu Jiande, the first person making eggshell porcelain in Jingdezhen.
