Xiong Guoan is a renowned inheritor of thin-body porcelain. Born in 1964 in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province, he started learning it at a young age. The production of thin-body porcelain is characterized by its delicate, translucent, and light texture. The process of making thin-body porcelain requires precision and patience as the clay is hand-thrown and shaped with great care. Xiong's skill has allowed him to make thin body porcelain with a thickness of about 0.15 millimeter.
