A chat with Australian ceramic artists in China's ancient pottery town

CGTN By: null

When people walked into the international artists fair in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province Janet DeBoos and Ebony Russell's two stands were probably the first they caught sight of. Many Chinese fairgoers stopped to take a closer look at their displays of groundbreaking works that push the boundaries of traditional porcelain design.

It's not Janet and Ebony's first time in China, and the Australian ceramic artists both recall the many positive discussions they had with their fellow artisans there.

Jingdezhen was once home to the imperial kilns where Chinese emperors had their porcelain made, but it's now been transformed into a vibrant hub for international ceramics exchanges.
