German ceramics master Karin has devoted more than 50 years to her craft – pottery. 

In Jingdezhen City of east China, she explores translucent porcelain, and with it the edges of her own abilities. The light of Jingdezhen porcelain "shines from within," she says, adding that "this transparency is so important for the whole word." 

Blending German tradition with global influences, she collaborates with artists from across the globe, making art a vehicle for shared humanity.
