Jingdezhen Ancient Ceramics Gene Bank welcomes the "foreigners" for the first time.

Jingdezhen Ancient Ceramics Gene Bank, officially inaugurated on June 11, 2022, is to comprehensively collect the digital information of more than 20 million pieces of ancient ceramic fragments in Jingdezhen from the late Tang Dynasty to the Republic of China.




On June 10 this year, the first anniversary of its establishment, Jingdezhen Ancient Ceramics Gene Bank welcomes the "foreigners" for the first time. The "foreigners" were three sets of 12 pieces of Jingdezhen ancient ceramic specimens from Yangtze River estuary No. 2 ancient vessel, found in deep sea of Hengsha Island in Chongming District, Shanghai City. Thus there are 1,372 sets (2,412 pieces) of ancient ceramic gene specimens collected in the gene bank, and nearly 300,000 pieces of data have been collected at present. Now, let’s decode the millennium porcelain ciper and continue the genes of Chinese civilization with researchers.
