Dr. Michael Flecker, a marine archaeologist from Singapore, came to Jingdezhen for the first time and was invited to participate in “The Origin, Spread and Globalization of Porcelain” International Symposium. He has found two shipwrecks containing Jingdezhen porcelain, one from the 14th century and the other from 1690. He said that exchanges with Chinese scholars had benefited him greatly and would be very helpful for his future research.
