“DIVERSE WORLD” 2023 Latin American Ceramic Art Invitational Exhibition shows 61 pieces (sets) of works selected from artists in Argentina, Peru, Cuba, Ecuador, Colombia, Uruguay, El Salvador, and other countries. It reveals the bold imagination of contemporary Latin American ceramic artists, shuttling between Indigenous civilizations, European civilizations, African civilizations, primitive rainforests, and modern cities. They contemplate the profound history of Latin America, singing praises to the land, nature, and myths.
As we celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, this exhibition is like a ship on the Pacific, gazing at the flourishing stars, laden with friendship and understanding, sailing towards Jingdezhen. Through it, we get a glimpse of the inclusive demeanor of contemporary Latin American ceramic art, rooted in traditional inheritance, innovation, and transformation. Despite the vast distance between China and Latin America, the bond between them, solid as gold and stone, is enough to compose a melodious song of the shared destiny between China and Latin America.
The exhibition opened at 19:30 on the evening of 15th December at Ceramic Art Avenue Art Gallery of Qiumo, Jingdezheng. And it officially opened to the public at 9:00 on 16th December, please come and have a visit.
