The Mid-Autumn Festival, on the annually lunar calendar August 15th, is one of the four traditional festivals in China and an important part of Chinese traditional cultures. Sponsored by Jingdezhen News Media Group and Jiangxi General Chamber of Commerce in the UK, the "Porcelain’s Journey along the Silk Road-share the same moment" Mid-Autumn Ceramic Culture international exchange activity was held on September 10, Mid-Autumn Festival night.

The activity was held in two venues of Sanbao International Porcelain Valley Sanbaopeng Art Colony in Jingdezhen and Cambridge, UK, through video connection, to discuss ceramic culture and promote international communication.

This international exchange activity consists of six parts, which includes: an exhibition of 100 ceramic works focusing on Mid-Autumn Festival elements, a starry night dinner attended by Jingdezhen artists, Jingdezhen drifter artists, "Generation Z" youth and other representatives of international cultural exchanges, an international gathering inviting international friends to share tea and appreciate utensils, a garden lantern fair featuring exquisite porcelain craft features and traditional Chinese lantern riddles implanted, a Taiping Kiln Valley Raku with a wonderful sense of participation and experience, and a cultural activity in two places.

At the event, we saw traditional Chinese songs such as "Happy Reunion" and "Jasmine Flower" played by a porcelain band, and the "Belt and Road" band composed of students from Nanchang Hangkong University, which present-ed wonderful songs "My Chinese Teacher and Me"  "I Believe" "My Chinese Dream" in both Chinese and English, and elicited warm applause from people at home and abroad. Among them, "My Chinese Teacher and Me""My Chinese Dream"are the original songs by Nanchang Hangkong University, written by Huang Yichuan and Xie Hua, and composed by Daniel.

As one of the international youth representatives of "Generation Z" in this event, the lead singer and keyboard player of "Belt and Road" band, Daniel, who is from Tanzania, told us that during his trip to Jingdezhen, he and the band members visited the porcelain exhibition together, tasted the traditional Chinese food, and experienced making porcelain. "It gave me a chance to experience authentic traditional Chinese culture and meet a lot of new friends. It was great."

As we know, the activity aims to show the unique charm of Chinese traditional culture, and further broaden the foreign exchange road of Jingdezhen ceramic culture.
