Taehoon Lee was born in Seoul, Korea in 1983. He first entered university and started learning glass, and for about 20 years, He honed his skills at glass art factory and private workshops. It took quite a long time to understand the physical properties of molten glass. In addition, making glass sculpting and wine glass was a great help in studying the properties of glass, so many attempts were made. Starting with the first solo exhibition in 2019, He focused on his work activities in earnest, and in the fall of that year, He opened his own studio.

Running my own studio was quite difficult. There were many variables, it took a lot of money, and my art pieces were not sold the way they were made. I had to choose. I had to make and sell craft products at an affordable price that people could easily access, and I split my time to create large art pieces.

While working on several works,He learned that he was interested in producing traditional techniques such as 'filigree cane' or 'twist cane'. In 2021, they began producing 'dandelion series' using 'cane'. His work begins when elements from his imagination and his blowing technique collaborate. His great dandelion puffs remind him of the sites he experienced–both in real life and through a variety of media and hope to experience.

The lip of the vessel is completed into a natural and soft curve– making it easy to grasp, through a polishing process.  His work embraces the translucency of glass to represent coziness, polishing process to accentuate the essence of soft curves, and, finally, tangling of multiple thin threads to visualize simple yet extravagant beauty. In the end, He aimed to reflect the pure and tranquil quality of glass to the attitudes toward our lives.
