Taoxichuan Art Centre Lecture will invite the artist - Cristine Baena. On 28th September 2024, Saturday evening at 19:00, he will present a lecture entitled "GLASS: CONNECTION & UPCYCLING" at Taoxicuan Glass Studio - Hot Glass Performance Hall.

This lecture will talk about the trajectory of Cristine's glass career, from 2016 when she traveled to Scotland to study at the Northlands College for Creative Studies, a milestone in her artistic life, to 2021, when she rose to prominence when she participated in Venice Glass Week as a HUB jury-selected artist, where she organized the Viva la Vida art exhibition. and speaks of her deep connection to glass through nature and creativity.

This lecture is intended to be an open and interactive sharing session, where audiences are encouraged to ask questions and engage at any point.

Cristine Baena

Cristine Baena explores the connection between living beings and nature through transparency and light effects, creating immersive installations or sculptures to activate sensory curiosity activating mental spaces of meditation and abstraction, and bringing a unique experience.

Cristine will be using leaf ashes during this residency, which are trapped between glass as if frozen in time. This is a state of immortality with extraordinary healing properties. The leaves will represent emotions, our frozen memories that make us better every day as we evolve.

Connection unites us and moves us forward. The end of the journey of the knowledge spiral is the center. At this point, we offer the Universe everything we no longer need, as well as our best energy.
