China has announced to implement a visa-free policy for citizens of Portugal, Greece, Cyprus and Slovenia as a move to further facilitate personnel exchanges between China and foreign countries. Starting from October 15, 2024 to December 31, 2025, holders of ordinary passports from the above four European countries will be eligible for a visa exemption policy when traveling to China for purposes such as business, tourism, visiting relatives or transit for up to 15 days, while those who are not qualified for the visa exemption policy still need to complete the necessary procedures to obtain a visa before landing in China.
