Taoxichuan Art Center Lecture invited Artist-in-Residence Bahadir Cem ERDEMto present a lecture on the theme of "Call Of Fire" at 19:30 on Wednesday, 30th October 2024 at the Taoxichuan S3 Multi-media Room(2nd floor）.
In this lecture, the artist will talk about why he chose this career, and what his ceramics classes in college taught him about his approach to presentation. He will take you on a journey into his world of ceramics with a video showing the call of fire.
This lecture is intended to be an open and interactive sharing session, where audience are encouraged to ask questions and engage at any point.
Bahadir Cem ERDEM
Bahadir Cem ERDEM has about 2,000 glaze recipes, but he doesn't like to use them in his work; he prefers to go for glazes produced by fire and ash.
He generally creates figurative works. When creating his works, he goes back to using clay that he prepared himself. Sometimes he even builds a kiln especially for the work and fires it accordingly.
