According to Law of the People’s Republic of China on Prevention and Treatment of Infectious Disease, Regulations on Preparedness and Response to Emergent Public Health Hazards, and other laws and regulations etc., region-specific, multi-level targeted approach to epidemic prevention and control is adopted. To better prevent and control the epidemic, regions in Binzhou jurisdiction at or above the county level are classified by risk level on a basis of a comprehensive evaluation of factors such as population and the number of infections in a given period of time. The risk-level classification of a region is science-based, and epidemic prevention and control strategies categorized by risk levels and targeted groups are formulated accordingly.
Low Risk Region
Implementing a strategy of preventing inbound transmission.
1. Strengthening epidemiological investigation and management of people coming from severely affected areas and high-risk regions, and enhancing health monitoring and service.
2. Medical institutions intensify efforts to monitor, identify, and report infection cases at fever clinics, and disease prevention and control institutions carry out epidemiological investigation and the tracing and management of close contacts in a timely manner.
3. Supervising and providing guidance for communities, government agencies, enterprises and public institutions to strictly implement community epidemic prevention and control measures, clean neighbourhood environment to meet hygiene standards, and expand public outreach by popularizing disease prevention knowledge and self-protection measures etc..
Medium Risk Region
Implementing a strategy of preventing inbound and local transmission.
1. Based on a series of epidemic prevention measures adopted by low risk regions, preparedness of related personnel, materials, and sites shall be enhanced for medical treatment and disease control, and close contacts need to undergo isolated medical observation and administration.
2. Prior to implementing targeted prevention measures, the sites subject to epidemic prevention and control shall be reasonably categorized with school classrooms, community buildings, factory workshops, and workplace offices as the minimum units, and the people shall be scientifically administered based on identification of cases, epidemiological investigation, and epidemic analysis. Prevention measures in low-risk regions can be implemented as reference in villages, towns, urban and rural (street) communities cleared of confirmed cases.
High Risk Region
Implementing a strategy of preventing any spread in its jurisdiction or beyond, enforcing strict control measures, and focusing on containment.
1. Based on a series of epidemic prevention measures adopted by medium risk regions, all gathering activities are banned, and regional traffic control is enforced upon approval by legal procedures.
2. At an interval of 1 meter above
3. Screening for fever patients thoroughly in every county, treating and administering suspected cases, confirmed cases and asymptomatic patients in a timely manner, and conducting isolated medical observation on close contacts.
4. Disinfecting related sites in urban residential communities (natural villages in rural areas) with cluster outbreaks or wide spread of the coronavirus in communities. Restriction on people gathering, entering and exit and other control measures are implemented.
5. Epidemic prevention, control, and the resumption of work and production differ in regions with different risk levels. To ensure a normal life, work and travel, it is very important to timely pay attention to the risk level at your present region or the region you are heading to.
By getting access to www.gov.cn or the related APP of “Inquiry about the Risk-level of COVID-19 Epidemic”, people could search for real-time information on the risk levels of different places. In the current climate of regular epidemic prevention and control, risk classification is more targeted and precise at village, township (street community), and even community levels.
