There are 1316 schools, teaching points and kindergartens in the city. Among them, there are 4 colleges and universities, 9 secondary vocational schools, 101 regular middle schools (51 junior middle schools, 29 schools with a nine-year education system, 12 complete middle schools, 5 senior middle schools, and 4 schools with a twelve-year education system), 328 primary schools, 243 teaching centers, 627 kindergartens (177 public and 450 private), and 4 special education schools. 

There are 6 provincial key middle schools, 6 provincial key construction middle school (including the Jindezhen Foreign Language School, Jingdezhen No.6 middle school, Changhe middle school), 1 national key vocational schools (also the first secondary specialized schools), 1 provincial key vocational middle school (Jingdezhen Electromechanical Engineering School), 1 provincial demonstration special education school (Jingdezhen Special Education School).

There are 9 provincial-level demonstration kindergartens (Municipal Party Committee Nursery School, kindergarten directly under the Municipal Education Bureau, Leping Kindergarten, Changhe Preschool Education Center, 602 Preschool Education Center, Tiantile Preschool Education Group, Municipal Bureau of Commerce Kindergarten, Zhushan District Private Changhong International Bilingual Kindergarten, Ehu Central Kindergarten). 

There are 8,062 full-time teachers in middle schools, 7,310 full-time teachers in primary schools, 87 teachers in special education schools, 423 teachers in secondary vocational schools and 3,754 full-time teachers in kindergartens. There are 25 special-grade teachers, 44 provincial academic leaders and 182 provincial backbone teachers. There are 274,371 primary and secondary school students in the city, 58,514 children in kindergartens, and 18,996 children in public kindergartens, accounting for 32.5%. The city has 2 private primary schools, 10 ordinary middle schools and 1 special education school, with 381 teaching staff and 8198 students. 

There are 2 private secondary vocational schools with 65 faculty members and 1215 students. The private kindergarten has 4,647 teaching staff and 39,518 children in the kindergarten.
