Expo Area of Ancient Kiln Folk Culture in Jingdezhen is the only national 5A-level tourist attraction with porcelain culture as the theme, and the first national 5A-level tourist attraction in Jiangxi located in downtown area. It is a National Tourism Demonstration Area, a National Cultural Demonstration Base, a National Popular Science Education Base, and a National Demonstration Base for Productive Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage.


The Exhibition Zone of Ancient Kilns: This zone displays ancient porcelain workshops, the world’s oldest porcelain production line, the Imperial Kiln of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Lion Kiln of the Qing Dynasty, Zhen Kiln of the Qing Dynasty, Gourd Kiln of the Ming Dynasty, Mantou (steamed bun-shaped) Kiln of the Yuan Dynasty, Loong Kiln of the Song Dynasty, Temple of the God of Kiln, Zhimeixuan Porcelain Exhibition Hall, Tang Ying Memorial,and Hongdian Boutique Store, etc. These spots not only demonstrate the architectural styles of ancient porcelain-production buildings and the porcelain-making procedures in the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties in Jingdezhen, but also exhibit delicate traditional porcelains as well. 


The Exhibition Zone of Porcelain Folk Culture: Centered around the twelve historic buildings dating back to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, this zone boasts the displays of ceramic folk customs, Palace of Goddess, Temple of Patriarch, Porcelain Gilding Workshop, Porcelain Tablet Corridor, Porcelain Musical Pavilion, and different porcelain musical performances, etc.


Artistic Leisure Zone: Here are the Ancient Kiln Museum, Zijin Academy, Jiangxi Pavilion of Expo 2010, the large bronze statue of Tongbin (the God of Kiln), Sourcing Porcelain in Changnan, Sanlvmiao Wharf, Enjoying Ploughing and Pottery Making, Past and Present of Porcelain, Kismet with Porcelain, Watao Porcelain Exploration Hall, etc. 


The amazing ancient kilns and the capital of porcelain invite you to visit, to enjoy the porcelain musical performances, to worship Tongbin (the God of Kiln), to appreciate the oldest porcelain production line and to explore the mysteries of the kiln fire that has been flaming for over a millennium.
